External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday called on visiting Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih here and discussed all aspects of bilateral relations.
"Warm and productive discussion on all aspects of bilateral ties, including development cooperation, human resource development and people-to-people exchanges," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted after the meeting.
Earlier, Solih was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan where Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted him with a warm hug.
Modi and Solih were scheduled to hold delegation-level talks following which a number of agreements were expected to be signed.
Solih arrived here on Sunday on a three-day visit to India, his first foreign visit since assuming office on November 17.
