External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday held bilateral meetings with Cameroon and Tunisia foreign ministers on the sidelines of the ongoing Third India-Africa Forum Summit (IFAS).
"Closer to Cameroon. EAM @SushmaSwaraj with Foreign Minister Mbella Mbella," Vikas Swarup, spokesperson in the external affairs ministry, tweeted after her meeting with the foreign minister of Cameroon.
Earlier, she held a bilateral meeting with Tunisia Foreign Minister Taieb Baccouche.
"Afternoon bilaterals begin with with Tunisia. EAM @SushmaSwaraj meets Foreign Minister Taieb Baccouche," Swarup tweeted.
Foreign ministers of India and the African countries held a ministerial meeting on Tuesday as part of the 2015 IFAS.
Addressing the ministers, Sushma Swaraj made a strong pitch for permanent seats in the UN Security Council for India and Africa.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share the podium with the African heads of government and state for the summit meeting.
