A Danish nurse who was working with Ebola patients in Sierra Leone has been placed in quarantine at a hospital in Aarhus, Denmark, authorities said Thursday.
The Danish ministry of defence brought back the nurse who had been exposed to a high risk situation related to the care of Ebola patients in Sierra Leone, Xinhua news agency reported citing the Danish Health and Medicines Authority.
The Dane has been admitted to the hospital at Aarhus University for examination and observation.
Danish Health and Medicines Authority said it would keep in close contact with the hospital and make a detailed risk assessment based on the observations.
