A woman college teacher has gone missing since Sunday morning after being suspended by the college authorities for a Facebook post on the terrorist attack on a CRPF convoy in Jammu & Kashmir's Pulwama district that left 49 dead last Thursday, police said here on Monday.

In her post, Papri Banerjee, who is a teacher at the city's Icon Academy College, condemned the terrorist attack but

also slammed the Indian Army for 'atrocities' on civilians in the Kashmir Valley and said that the recent attack was an expected move by the terrorists.

Following her post, Papri received rape and death threats from different Facebook users.

On Saturday, her college suspended her for the comment. An FIR was also filed against her under Section 505 of the IPC and Section 66 of the IT Act.

"She came to the police station on Saturday as we summoned her regarding the FIR. She was supposed to come to the station on Monday but she did not. Then we sent a police team to her house for questioning. But her father told us that she is missing since Sunday morning," said B.C. Deka, officer in-charge of Chandmari Police Station.

Police, however, said that they are yet to receive a missing complaint from her family members.

Papri lives in the city's Gandhi Basti Area with her father and brother, who were not available for comment.
