Welcoming the Delhi government's decision to close two liquor shops in the Rohini area after protests from locals, Swaraj India on Wednesday said its campaign against alcohol vends in residential areas of the capital would continue.

"We will continue our public campaign against the presence of liquor vends in residential areas. The government's decision should not be limited to just two vends of Rohini when the problem is deep rooted and widespread across Delhi," Swaraj's Delhi unit president Anupam said in a statement.

He said the party would continue to hold public meetings and bring to light such liquor vends which have been opened against the will and consent of the local residents.
