Sweden's Eriksson leads FIFA Club World Cup referee list

Swedish Jonas Eriksson leads the list of referees appointed on Tuesday to officiate the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup to be held in Osaka and Yokohama in Japan between December 10-20.

Eriksson, representing Europe, is the oldest at 41, while the youngest is the Cameroonian Alioum Alioum, 33, representing Africa, reports Efe.

The tournament, where the successor to Real Madrid will be determined, will begin on December 10 with a match between this season's Japanese champion and New Zealand's Auckland City, with the winner facing the Congolese Mazembe, the African champions, in the quarter-finals.

The winner will meet in the semi-finals with Argentina's River Plate.

 

The Asian champion will play against Mexico's Club America and expects Barcelona in the semi-finals.

The final will be played in Yokohama on December 20.

Referees appointed for the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup are:

AFC: Faghani Alireza (Iran). Assistants: Sokhandan Reza (Iran) and Mohammadreza Mansouri (Iran).

CAF: Alioum Alioum (Cameroon). Assistants: Evarist Menkouande (Cameroon) and Elvis Guy Noupue Nguegoue (Cameroon).

CONCACAF: Joel Antonio Aguilar Chicas (Selvador). Assistants: Juan Francisco Zumba Galan (Selvador) and Marvin Torrentera Cesar Rivera (Mexico).

CONMEBOL: Wilmar Alexander Roldan Perez (Colombia). Participants: Alexander Guzman Bonilla (Colombia) and Cristian Jairo de la Cruz Achicanoy (Colombia).

OFC: Matthew Conger (New Zealand). Assistants: Tevita Makasini (Tonga), Lount Simon (New Zealand.

UEFA: Jonas Eriksson (Sweden). Assistants: Klasenius Mathias (Sweden) and Daniel Warnmark (Sweden).

Substitute referees: Ryuji Sato (Japan). Assistant: Akane Yagi (Japan).
