Visiting Syrian opposition leader Ahmad Jarba said here Wednesday that his organisation is willing to participate in the third round of peace talks of the Geneva II conference, should the Syrian government shows sincerity.
Jarba, the head of the National Coalition of Syrian Opposition and Revolutionary Forces, made the remarks during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing, Xinhua reported.
"This is the first time for us to visit China and we have pinned our hopes on it," Jarba told Wang.
He said he appreciated China's efforts in promoting the solution of the Syrian crisis, which has entered the fourth year and brought suffering to Syrian people and dealt a huge blow to regional peace and stability.
"The current situation in Syria has reached a new critical moment," Wang said.
