Tajikistan's national football team is scheduled to play Maldives and Syria in its build-up for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, the Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF) said on Tuesday.
According to the TFF, Tajikistan will play friendlies against Maldives on March 26 and against Syria on March 31, reports Xinhua.
Tajikistan is currently in the 137th place with 215 points, Maldives and Syria found themselves in 135th, 150th places on 220 and 147 points respectively, in the FIFA world rankings issued on February 14.
Previously, Tajikistan played Maldives twice and four times against Syria, including a 3-0 win over Maldives at the 13th Asian Games in Suphanburi, Thailand, on December 1, 1998.
The match between Tajikistan and Maldives ended in a 0-0 draw in the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers that took place in Male on March 25.
