Leading global technology and design services provider Tata Elxsi on Monday said it has partnered with DiSTI Corporation to produce an e-cockpit demonstrator.
The Tata technology firm joined DiSTI's partner programme and adopted GL Studio for their user interface demonstrations for the development of the infotainment, cluster and HUD (head-up display), the company said in a regulatory filing.
"With more and more driver assistance happening in automobiles through multiple displays, HMI and graphics are going to play a major role. Both the companies are investigating futuristic ways of UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) implementations in vehicles," said Tony K. John, Global Head of marketing, partnerships and alliances of automotive business unit of the Tata firm.
The two companies will showcase the e-cockpit demonstration at Embedded World 2017 in Germany on March 14-16.
