Automobile major Tata Motors Group Thursday reported a decline of 8.25 percent in its global wholesale volumes including that of Jaguar Land Rover in September.
Sales last month stood at 80,104 units from an off-take of 87,316 units in the corresponding month of last year.
According to the company, luxury brand of the group Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) saw a 8.40 percent decrease in sales in the month under review, which stood at 32,858 units from 35,874 units sold in September, 2013.
Jaguar sales for last month fell by 11.23 percent at 5,715 units from 6,438 units sold in the corresponding month of last year. Land Rover sales were 7.78 percent lower at 27,143 units from 29,436 units sold in September, last year.
JLR's cumulative sales grew by 7.78 percent for the fiscal at 219,131 units from a sale of 192,551 units.
The group's global commercial vehicle wholesales which includes brands like Tata Motors and Tata Daewoo in the month under review declined by 8.22 percent at 34,918 units from an off-take of 38,049 units in the corresponding month of last year.
Global passenger vehicle wholesales of the group fell by 8.28 percent at 45,186 units from 49,267 units sold in September, 2013. Global wholesales of Tata's own passenger vehicles fell 7.95 percent at 12,328 units from a sale of 13,393 units.
