Tata Steel on Tuesday reported a marginal rise in its sales at 2.15 million tonnes (mt) in the quarter ended June 30, 2016.
Its sales rose only 0.1 percent in the April-June quarter as compared to 2.14 mt sold in same period last year. Its crude steel production in the quarter stood at 2.52 mt, up 7.6 per cent from 2.34 mt produced in corresponding period last year and saleable steel productuon grew 4.8 percent at 2.34 mt and hot metal production in the quarter was at 3.01 mt, up 16.5 per cent.
The company said that commercial production started at Kalinganagar plant from June 1.
