A Delhi school teacher has been booked on the charge of beating up a 13-year-old schoolboy on Tuesday after he fought with another student, police said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Romil Baaniya said authorities of the school in Hazrat Nizamuddin in east Delhi had been informed and the accused teacher directed to join investigation.
The case was registered after the Class VI student's parents filed a police complaint.
"The child was medically examined at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where doctors described the nature of injury as 'simple blunt, abrasion on back'."
The student was beaten up after another student's parents sent a note to the class teacher regarding their fight on Monday, Baaniya said.
