Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal has sought two more days to appear before the Goa Police, police sources said Thursday.

Tejpal has sent a letter to Crime Branch police inspector Sunita Sawant saying he needed more time to respond to the police summons to appear by 3 p.m. Thursday.

Tejpal has also referred to his plea for anticipatory bail in the Delhi High Court, police sources said.

Tejpal has, however, promised to co-operate with police who are investigating charges that he sexually assaulted a junior colleague at a hotel in Goa this month.
