"It was a bright, sunny day across the state today, but temperatures remained below the freezing point in many places," the official of the meteorological office here told IANS.

Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti, was the coldest in the state at a minimum temperature of minus 11 degrees Celsius.

Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 4 degrees, while it was minus 2.8 degrees in Manali, 8.7 degrees in Shimla, 2.4 degrees in Dalhousie, minus 0.4 degree in Kufri and 3.8 degrees in Dharamsala.

The Met office said clouds would hover across the state after February 19 with chances of a moderate spell of snow and rain in some parts thereafter.
