Seeking to strengthen cooperation in the global fight against climate change, TERI has signed a memorandum of understanding with a Norway-based environmental organisation and INTASAVE-CARIBSAVE Group.
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), INTASAVE-CARIBSAVE as well as Fridtjof Nansen Institute (FNI) will work together to promote research and development, including policy analysis in the areas of green growth, climate change, sustainable energy, natural resource management, capacity building, knowledge exchange and knowledge co-production, a TERI communique said.
The MoU was signed on Thursday (April 16).
About nine areas of mutual interest have been identified by the three institutes, including co-benefits of climate change mitigation and adaptation, green growth and resource efficiency, environment and development, low carbon strategies among others.
The FNI is a Norwegian foundation engaged in research on international environmental politics and law while INTASAVE-CARIBSAVE is a global non-profit organisation.
