Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) joint secretary Anurag Thakur Sunday said cricket academies at zonal level would be set up to sharpen skills at the junior level.
"My priority will be to form zonal cricket academies so that budding cricketers get the right kind of exposure and training," Thakur, who was re-elected to the post for a second term, said in a statement here.
The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association president was satisfied with the performance of the Indian teams.
"Our teams like U-19 and Indian A are relatively doing good," he said.
Thakur has to his credit turning the first-class ground in Dharamsala into the country's most scenic cricket venue hosting IPL and International One-day matches on a regular basis.
