Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who was in Kerala for an ayurvedic rejuvenation treatment, reached the national capital Sunday, 10 days after Delhi Police registered a case of murder over the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.

Tharoor arrived at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport around 2 p.m. from Kochi, from where he directly went to his house in central Delhi's Lodhi Estate.

After getting out of the airport, Tharoor told reporters, "I have already spoken with the media", and drove away in a car along with his security staff.

A group of policemen have been deployed outside the entrance gate of his residence.

Pushkar, 52, was found dead in mysterious conditions in a luxury hotel Jan 17, 2014.

Delhi Police registered a case of murder against "unknown persons" Jan 1.

Tharoor underwent a 14-day general wellness programme for ailments like frozen shoulder and stiffness at an ayurveda centre in Thrissur district of Kerala.
