Three people have been arrested for allegedly molesting a teenage girl on her way back from school in West Begal's East Midnapore district, police said on Sunday.
The incident happened in the district's Mahishadal town.
"Ganesh Das, Tapan Bera and Surajit Das were arrested on Saturday evening for allegedly harassing and passing obscene comments to a class twelve student from a pick-up truck," police said.
The locals accused the three of being drunk and following the girl all along her way.
"There were five people in the truck making obscene comments to the girl and pulled her scarf while she was riding a bicycle. The girl lost her balance and fell down," a local said.
The locals came out hearing the girl's cry for help and chased the truck.
