At least three children were injured as a bomb went off at a wedding ceremony in Afghanistan's Jauzjan province capital Shiberghan, police said.
"A bomb blast ripped through a wedding party in a local hotel in Shiberghan city at around 3:30 p.m. injuring three innocent children," Xinhua news agency quoted provincial police chief Rahmatullah Turkistani as saying on Tuesday.
"The reason for the gruesome incident is apparently enmity," the official said, adding that those behind the blast have been identified and efforts are underway to arrest them.
Governor of Jauzjan province Lutfullah Azizi confirmed the incident.
