Three separatist guerrillas were killed Thursday in a gunfight with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
A joint patrol party was fired upon by militants at Aab-Ghar Tral area. The patrol team retaliated, and the three unidentified militants were killed in the gun battle.
The identity of the militants is being ascertained. A self-loading rifle (SLR), a carbine rifle, a pistol, grenades and ammunition were found in their possession, a police officer said.
