Three teenaged girls were drowned while playing near a reservoir in China's Guangxi Zhuang region, firefighters said.
Four girls were playing near the reservoir to beat the heat when they fell into the water Wednesday afternoon. Only one of them was saved, Xinhua reported.
The bodies of the three girls, aged between 10 and 15, were retrieved late Wednesday night.
On Thursday, three people went missing after drowning in the neighbouring Guangdong province, local emergency response office said.
