West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Wednesday inducted three ministers, including two new faces, in her ministry.
She recalled veteran leader Moloy Ghatak, who was dropped from the cabinet after Trinamool's Dola Sen lost to BJP's Babul Supriyo from Asansol constituency in the Lok Sabha polls. He was in-charge of the party affairs in Asansol.
Ghatak replaced Purnendu Bose as the new labour minister. Bose was shifted to the agriculture ministry.
Bose's departure from the labour ministry came at a time when the state has been witnessing labour unrest and closure of several jute mills following the lynching of a mill executive by agitating workers.
The two new faces inducted in the ministry are Jyotirmoy Kar, minister-in-charge co-operation department and Ashis Banerjee, minister of state for higher education and school education.
The new ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor M.K. Naryayanan at Raj Bhavan here.
