A group of suicide bombers stormed a police academy in Afghanistan's Khost city Wednesday leaving three of them dead.
The attack also injured three police personnel, spokesman for provincial government Mubariz Zadran, said.
"One of the attackers blew himself up next to the gate of the police academy enabling two others to enter and use hand grenades but the police retaliated and killed two others on the spot," Xinhua quoted Zadran as telling reporters.
One of the attackers was killed in his blast and the two others were killed by police after around an hour of fire exchange, he added.
Taliban militants are yet comment on the incident.
