Tamil Nadu Governor C Vidyasagar Rao has appreciate the people, government officials and the police force for the state remaining peaceful after the death of iconic Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa.
In a letter to Chief Secretary P. Rama Mohana Rao, the Governor appreciated the people for maintaining peace and calm during this trying time and displaying to the entire nation their law-abiding culture and disciplined attitude.
He also appreciated the state government machinery, officials, and police department's efficient work in the hour of grief.
The AIADMK cadres at Apollo Hospital turned violent briefly on Tuesday evening when some television channels put out a wrong news that Jayalalithaa was no more.
