Tamil Nadu Minister S.P. Velumani was on Monday admitted to Apollo Hospital here following stomach pain, said hospital sources, adding that his condition was now stable.
Sources close to the Minister said it was a routine check up which he usually gets done in Coimbatore.
"Since he is in Chennai this time, the check up is being done at Apollo," they said.
His ministerial colleagues Ma Foi K Pandiarajan, Saroja and P. Benjamin visited him at the hospital and enquired about his health.
