Togolese Prime Minister Kwesi Ahoomey-Zunu has asserted that his country is free from Ebola disease, saying that all preventive measures have been taken on borders, airports and harbours to detect the virus.

During a meeting with Egypt's Charge D'Affairs in Togo Mohammad El-Erian, the Togolese premier, who is also in charge of the health portfolio, voiced thanks to Egypt for its efforts to help his country stand against this serious challenge through training Togolese medical cadres on ways to combat Ebola, MENA news agency reported Wednesday.

He said his country was seeking to train more medical cadres in order to safely cross such crisis.

The two sides also reviewed bilateral relations and Togo's efforts to prevent the outbreak of Ebola in the country.
