Police in Tokyo are set to boost security in amusement areas in Japanese the capital on Friday, one day before Halloween celebrations, the media reported.
Police are concerned over confusion as hundreds of people in costumes are expected to come to the popular Shibuya and Roppongi districts from Friday to Saturday night, public broadcaster NHK reported.
Many events, such as Halloween costume photo sessions, will be held in those areas for the day.
Police will put more officers on patrol in those districts on Friday to prevent traffic congestion and trouble among people.
On Saturday, hundreds of officers, including riot police, will be on the alert for possible trouble in those areas.
The public relations team of a riot squad called "DJ Police Officer" will also be on traffic duty in Shibuya and Roppongi.
Police officers with a good command of foreign languages will be present to assist people from other countries who are out to enjoy Halloween events in Tokyo.
