Television actress Sheen Das says that she took inspiration from actresses Jaya Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene for her character in "Piya Albela".
"Pooja's character in 'Piyaa Albela' has evolved since the launch of the show. The transition from playing a grown-up, mature person to a eight-year-old kid has been a challenging one. I have tried to understand the various layers of my character," Sheen, who plays the role of Pooja in the show, said in a statement.
Sheen has prepared for her new avatar in the Zee TV's fiction drama by taking inspiration from famous characters portrayed by Bollywood divas.
In order to play the part, the actress took inspiration from Jaya's character in "Uphaar" and Madhuri's gestures and mannerisms from "Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!"
She said: "To do so, I took inspiration from Jaya Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit. While Jayaji is unmatchable and her character in the movie 'Uphaar' will always remain iconic, I have tried to borrow little nuances from the way she behaved or acted in the movie.
"To add more layers to my character portrayal, I have also borrowed from Madhuri ma'am's body language from the popular song 'Chocolate lime juice' from 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!' "
The actress hopes she can do justice to this new avatar and entertain the audience.
