Bayern overpowered Berlin to secure a 3-2 comeback win, while Dortmund defeated rivals Schalke 3-1 in the "Revierderby" and Leverkusen's Emre Can snatched a late win against Augsburg in the 10th round of the German Bundesliga.
Bayern had to come from behind against resilient visitors from Berlin. The hosts recovered from an early setback as substitutes Mario Mandzukic and Mario Goetze helped with three goals within 54 minutes to give their side the win Saturday night, reports Xinhua.
Second placed Dortmund kept pace with Bayern as they recorded a 3-1 win in the 143rd "Revierderby" against Schalke. Schalke failed to secure the third consecutive derby win, suffering the fourth defeat of the season.
Leverkusen, who are in third place, recorded their eighth win of the season owing to their last gasp 2-1 win over Augsburg.
The underdogs from Augsburg caught the hosts flat-footed when Andre Hahn volleyed home a cross to open the scoring in the 24th minute. However, Leverkusen responded just 10 minutes later courtesy Simon Rolfes before Emre Can nailed the winner seven minutes before the end of the game.
Elsewhere, Hoffenheim crushed Hannover 4-1 thanks to a brace from Roberto Firminio.
