Top Ugandan football club suspends coach over match-fixing allegations

Uganda's top football club KCCA FC has suspended coach Sam Ssimbwa over match-fixing allegations.

Club chief executive officer David Tamale told Xinhua on Sunday that they have decided to suspend the coach till January 31 when they will be done with investigations.

The club said it has set up a committee to investigate the allegations.

KCCA FC are currently top of the Azam Uganda Super League after the first leg.

The club represented Uganda last year in the lucrative Africa Champions League. The much travelled Ssimbwa has coached Express FC, Simba FC, Mbale Heroes FC and SC Villa in Uganda and Police FC in the Rwanda League.
