Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday said the biggest measure to build confidence with Kashmiris was tourism.
At an event here, she spoke about her father and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's vision of "developing tourism in pursuit of exchange of ideas and culture among people".
"Mufti saab believed in tourism not as a field for economic development but his vision about exchange of ideas and culture between people," she said.
Praising the culture of Kashmiri people, she said, "We are patient, tolerant and strong people."
Mehbooba was speaking at a tourism event hosted by Delhi government. Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung and Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra were also present.
