The Trinamool Congress on Sunday announced its candidates' list for Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) polls, and declared that incumbent mayor Sovan Chatterjee would be the party's nominee for the post again if it returned to power.
Declaring the list for the forthcoming KMC polls, veteran party leader and West Bengal minister Subrata Mukherjee said 66 of the candidates were women while 20 belonged to the minority communities.
"If we return to power, Sovan Chatterjee will be made mayor again," he added.
Of the 144 wards, the Trinamool made public its candidates' list for 143 wards.
The candidate for ward number 13 would be announced after state's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee returns to the city from Delhi where she is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
Chatterjee will contest from his old ward 131.

Mala Roy and Arun Kumar Das, who crossed over to the Trinamool a day ago from the Congress, have got nomination from wards 88 and 55 respectively, which they represent in the KMC now.
Mukherjee said his party was confident of retaining the board on the strength of the development the present board has ushered over the past five years.
