The condition of Trinamool Congress MP and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee remained "more or less same", as he still had fever, acute body ache and was on intermittent oxygen support, hospital officials said on Saturday.
"His condition continued to be more or less same. He continues to have fever, acute body ache and is intermittently on oxygen support," Belle Vue Clinic CEO Pradip Tondon said.
On Friday, Abhishek underwent extensive eye tests and was examined by senior physician Sukumar Mukherjee.
He has been shifted to special critical care room for better nursing care.
"Further course of treatment shall be discussed by the medical board in due course and at an appropriate time," the release said.
Abhishek was hospitalised after his car hit the crane of a van towing a snag-hit milk van on Ratanpur, about 6 km from Singur on the Durgapur Expressway in Hooghly district on Tuesday.
