A 55-year-old Delhi Police sub-inspector was crushed to death by a speeding truck in the national capital, police said Friday.
Hazarilal, who was deputed at west Delhi's Bhalswa Dairy police station, was riding his motorbike to reach Narela when he was hit by the truck Thursday at around 10 p.m. in Alipur area. He was on duty when the accident occurred.
"The truck driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded a few minutes after the incident," Deputy Commisioner of Police N. Gnana Sambandan told IANS.
