Fluid fabrics and fun prints will be in vogue this summer. An expert says the hot weather is all about looking stylish in soft and comfortable drapes that enable ease of movement.
The India-inspired colourful Boho chic brand Global Desi has come up with spring summer 2014 collection inspired by the exuberance and fun vibes of the great Indian "Mela".
The high point of the line is that the collection is derived from Liva fabric, a new age fabric made with natural fibers by the Aditya Birla Group.
Since it is sourced from natural fibers, Liva also attributes "breathability" to the apparel, making it ideal for the summer season.
Enhanced by the fluidity and drape of the fabric, the collection plays very strongly on an array of distinctive colours like mustard, tangerine, deep blue, lime green and red. The collection consists of maxi dress, jumpsuit, fluid palazzos and loose white shirts in bright patterns and bold colours.
"This is our third season of association with Liva- a new age fabric from the house of Aditya Birla Group. It imparts an amazing softness and flow to the garment and makes possible cuts and fits that enhance and compliment your body," Anita Dongre, creative director of Global Desi and one of the known names in the fashion world.
"Our summer collection is infused with the stimulating elements of a 'Mela' along with the fluidity of LIVA that has created an inimitable range of a la mode fashion forward style. The collection is rich in colour, silhouettes, exciting prints and motifs, like kites, turbans, pinwheels," she added.
