A host of popular television actors like Karan Wahi, Gaurav Chopra, Manish Paul, Manav Gohil, and Aamir Ali, are set to play Gold Charity Cricket Match here Friday.
Bollywood actor Vikas Kalantri, who is member of the organising team, said that the match was for the benefit of the actors in the industry.
"We have a Gold Charity Match every year. It is for the benefit for the actors in the industry. Last to last year, we had cricket, then last year we had football and this year again we are having cricket," Vikas, seen in films like "Nayee Padosan" and "Jigyaasa", told IANS.
Explaining the dynamics of the match, Vikas, owner of event management company White Leaf Entertainment, said there will be two teams of TV actors and the proceeds from the match will go to the film workers association.
Other actors who will be seen batting and bowling during the tournament are Aadesh Choudhary, Chaitanya Choudhary, Aditya Redij, Karan Mehra, Jai Soni, Suyash kumar, Sailesh Gulabani, Mickey Dudaney, Nakul Mehta, Mohd Nazim, Shakti Anand, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Siddharth Kanan, Sandeep Sachdev, Salil Ankola, Varun Badola and Anoop Soni.

Even though television actors have hectic schedules, Vikas did not find it tough to persuade them to play the match.
"I called them and they were interested. A lot of us have a cricketer in ourselves. You don't get a chance to play generally, so when the chance comes, every one agrees. It is a night match, so they can shoot during the day and work will not suffer," he said.
The match coincides with the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament, but Vikas said it is "not planned". "The only time we can have it is in April-May because it is a relaxed time...happening with IPL is a coincidence."
The match will be held at the Goregaon Sports Club.
