Supriya Kumari-Sachin Shroff-starrer TV show "Anudamini" has completed one year of its telecast. The show has clocked over 250 episodes.
The show, which airs on Doordarshan, is about a village girl who comes to Mumbai and struggles to manage her married life. Her husband refuses to accept her, but she manages her husband and his family really well and tries to meet his expectations and style.
"We appreciate our loyal viewers and thank each and every team member for their support in making the year-long journey of 'Anudamini' smooth and successful," Rajesh Kumar Jain, the show's producer said in a statement.
"Somewhere this is a story of those innocent Indian wives, who despite all their efforts, are not well accepted by their husbands and hence the story has been accepted. In a similar manner, Anudamini, who is the protagonist of this story, is rejected by her husband," Jain added.
Supriya, who has previously appeared in shows like "Bairi Piya" and "Sanskar", is playing the titular role in the show along with Sachin Shroff of "Tumhari Paakhi" fame.

'Manmarzian' gets the 'Aisha' touch
Similar to a sequence from Sonam Kapoor-starrer 2010 film "Aisha", where she, Abhay Deol, Ira Dubey and Cyrus Sahukar bond round a campfire and over music, dance and drinks, the forthcoming TV show "Manmarzian" will also feature its cast indulging in similar adventures.
The cast members will be seen river rafting and bungee-jumping in Rishikesh, and they will also bond round a campfire by the Ganges.
The cast and crew of the Star Plus show -- which is about self-discovery, friendship, relationships and exploring life -- were in Rishikesh for a two-month shooting schedule where they performed various activities including the campfire sequence.
"It was the best start to the shoot for the show as we started off only in Rishikesh and Kashmira (Irani), Shravan (Reddy) and I were living together there for a month. We bonded over bungee, river rafting and various activities.
"The most fun sequence was the campfire sequence. When we got a brief about that scene, we were given the reference of 'Aisha' and were told to just have fun and chill as that should reflect in the shot and that's exactly what we did," Monica Sehgal, the lead of 'Manmarzian' said in a statement. "
"Manmarzian" will start on April 13.

'Tu Mera Hero': 10 directors changed
The director's seat of comedy drama show "Tu Mera Hero" seems to be jinxed. As many as 10 directors are said to have been change for the entertainer.
The show, which launched in December 2014, changed three directors including Rohit Raj Goyal of "Diya aur Bati Hum" fame, before it went on air on Star Plus. Since then, seven more directors have been changed.
The show is current being directed by Maqbool Khan, who is managing the show on a fortnight basis as he already has prior commitments.
"It is very unfortunate that we have had 10 directors changed since the start. Each time, we get used to their way of working, someone new comes by. Half the unit thinks that the show is jinxed," said an actor from the show.
The story of "Tu Mera Hero" centres around Titu (Priyanshu Jora) and his ladylove Panchi (Sonia Balani), and how their chemistry works despite the former's laid-back attitude towards life.
Apart from them, the show also stars veteran actor Akhilendra Mishra and Amita Khopkar.
