Twitter users worldwide were left clueless early Monday when their timelines on the micro-blogging site suddenly went blank for a brief period, media reports said.
At around 10 a.m., Twitter reportedly went down for a few minutes when timelines -- which display Twitter updates -- of many users "disappeared" across the world.
Some users even started using the #TwitterDown hashtag to report the technical problem.
While the firm was yet to issue a statement on this, users went on tweeting about "missing" timelines on #TwitterDown.
"I'm getting the 'timeline is empty' bug too... Trouble with the server hamsters!" posted Mark Kern @Grummz.
"Twitter goes down for 10 minutes and everyone freaks out lol," wrote Chrispy from his handle @ChristianStec.
Harshdeep Singh posted: "Looks like web Twitter is facing Monday morning blues."
