Two brothers die in Delhi road accident

Two brothers, both in their 30s were killed, while two of their relatives received injuries after their car collided with an electricity pole here and turned turtle, police said Wednesday.

The incident was reported around 12.30 a.m. Tuesday night from Keshav Puram area in north Delhi.

Nikhil Bansal and Vineet Bansal died on the spot while their relatives Vipin and Pradeep suffered injuries in the incident.

The victims were heading towards Azadpur in north Delhi from Dhaula Kuan in south Delhi.

The Bansal brothers were on the front seat of the car when the accident took place near an Indian Oil petrol pump at Britania Chowk in Keshav Puram.

 

"The Audi car driven by one of the victims collided with an electricity pole. The impact of the collision was so severe that the car jumped into the air and turned turtle," said an official.

"The medical report of the victims confirmed they were drunk at the time of the incident. The car was being driven at a very high speed," he added.
