Two people were killed and four others injured in a clash between two rival groups in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, police said.

The clash in Gunjliya village took place over some old dispute, officer in-charge L.S. Parmar of Ratangarh police station told IANS.

He said the families of Gajendra Singh and Bairam were embroiled in a dispute over the past few years. The dispute had also reached court.

On Thursday, when Bairam and two of his family members were passing through a field, Gajendra and some of his relatives allegedly stopped them and opened fire. Bairam's relatives were also attacked with swords, the police official said.
