Four people, including two dentists and a MBBS student, have been arrested in Haryana for an alleged conspiracy to leak All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) answer sheets, police said on Monday.
Rohtak Range Inspector General Shrikant Jadhav said that police in Rohtak got information that the four people were planning to leak the AIPMT answer sheets in Panipat. The accused had hatched the conspiracy in a hotel in Panipat.
The answer sheets were to be sold to students aspiring for admission to medical colleges for a whopping Rs.15-20 lakh each.
A special team of the Rohtak police raided the hotel and arrested four people. Those arrested include Bhupinder and Sanjit, both dentists, MBBS student Ravi and another person called Rajesh. Police officials said that one more person, Roop Singh Dangi, was on the run and yet to be arrested.
The accused were using social media like Whatsapp to transfer images of the answer sheets. Police also recovered undergarments in which microphones and mobile chips were installed to help the students with answers.
