Two held for looting liquor shops in Gurugram

Two men were arrested after for looting cash from liquor shops at gun-point here, police said on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Aman (19) and Rohit alias Prashant (20) from Aligarh, looted cash from three liquor shops in the city located in Sector 37, Khandsa road and Tigra road respectively on Feb 12, 15 and 16.

Police said that the bike-borne men were asked to stop by police but they retaliated by opening fire on them near the town of Garhi Harsaru.

Both were later attested by crime unit 10 chief Vikas Kumar and his team from Dwarka Expressway.

The duo were involved in other incidents of loot in Kherki Daula, Manesar and Bilaspur area here on Delhi-Jaipur National Highway 8.

 

Police said that Aman has been involved in various incidents of crime in Aligarh and police have registered 10 FIRs against him at different police stations.

"Two pistols, cartridges and a bike were recovered from their possession. They are being interrogated on police remand," a senior police officer told IANS.
