Two men, including an Afghan national, have been arrested in the capital with drugs valued at Rs.2 crore in the international market, police said Wednesday.

Afghan national Jumah Khan, 28, and Arif Ali, a 30-year-old from Rajasthan, were arrested from Nizamuddin area in south Delhi Tuesday evening.

A total of 72 capsules containing heroin and 50 grams of the contraband in a packet were found in their possession.

They had come to deliver the drugs to a person in the same area.

Police said Khan used to swallow the drug-containing capsules in a rubber sheath and would pass them through stool after reaching Delhi. Arif was helping him in delivering the consignment to people hailing from Afghanistan.

Khan disclosed during interrogation that his handler Habib, based in Afghanistan, had given him 80 such capsules.
