An Israeli court on Monday found two minors guilty of murdering a Palestinian teenager in July 2014, while the third defendant, the only adult, will undergo a psychiatric examination.
Abu Khodeir, 16, was kidnapped by 31-years-old Yosef Haim Ben David and the two minors on July 2 2014. The incident occurred when Khodeir went to pray at a mosque in the village of Shuafat in East Jerusalem, EFE news reported.
The teenager was brutally attacked and burned alive in a forest in Jerusalem.
The perpetrators justified their crime as revenge for the kidnapping and murder of three young Israelis in the West Bank.
Ben David's lawyer filed a motion on Monday asking for a legal opinion on the mental state of his client, so the verdict has been delayed until the next hearing on January 14, 2016.
