In a tragic incident, two Good Samaritans in Kerala lost their lives on Thursday while trying to save a goat that had fallen into a well near here, police said.

The incident took place near Attingal, around 35 km from the state capital, a police official from Attingal told IANS.

A goat belonging to 56-year-old Prakash fell into a well that was not being used.

On finding the goat struggling for its life, Prakash and 35-year-old Rajiv entered the well, but died due to suffocation, the police official said.

A fire brigade team came, but by the time the two persons were taken out they had died. Both of them were casual labourers.
