A four-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy were crushed to death in two road accidents in Delhi, police said on Monday.
The first incident took place on Sunday evening at around 5 p.m. when a truck crushed four-year-old Nisha at Rajeev camp in Seemapuri area, the police said.
According to Amrish Prasad, father of the victim, Nisha went to throw some household waste at a nearby garbage bin but was hit by the truck on her way back home.
Nisha was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
The driver managed to flee from the spot leaving the truck behind. The police have registered a case against him and a search is on to apprehend him, a senior police officer said.

In another accident reported on Sunday from Rohini Sector-24, a nine-year-old boy, Chetan, was crushed to death by his neighbour who was backing his car, the police said on Monday.
The police said the incident occurred at around 3 p.m. when Chetan was playing in a street outside his residence.
His neighbour, Rajendra Kumar, was backing his car when Chetan came under the wheels, a senior police officer said.
He was taken to a nearby hospital but later declared dead. The accused has been arrested.
