Quashing an FIR filed against two men by a woman for allegedly harassing her, the Delhi High Court Friday directed the accused to do community service for a year in a gurudwara here.
Justice Hima Kohli quashed the FIR lodged against Tarandeep Nagra and Gaurav Grover, residents of West Patel Nagar, after accepting the written apology tendered by them.
The court said both the accused will clean shoes of devotees and utensils for an hour once a week in Bangla Sahib gurudwara, and also suspended their driving licenses for one year.
On April 29, the woman filed the FIR against the duo saying they harassed her and pulled her clothes on the road.
The duo moved the high court seeking quashing of the FIR, saying that they have settled their dispute out of court as the woman earlier used to be their friend.
The court also directed Nagra and Grover to pay Rs.10,000 each to the victim. It asked Nagra to pay Rs.10,000 to the management of Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and Grover to pay Rs.10,000 to a school meant for blind children.
