Rapper Tyga is being slammed for not taking proper care of his pet tiger.
The rapper once owned a pet tiger which he sent to a non-profit animal rescue facility in California two years ago after being told that keeping the animal in his house was illegal.
Bobbi Brink, the Founder and Director of Lions, Tigers & Bears, the animal shelter, has shared that the 500-pound tiger, now named Maverick, needs around $10,000 a year just for his food. That amount excludes vet costs, flea control and general maintenance. To cover the costs, they could only rely on public donations, reports tmz.com.
She also said that Tyga never made any effort to help out with his care, adding that he hasn't even thanked the shelter.
