Abu Dhabi, Sep 4 (IANS/WAM) The Red Crescent Authority in the UAE has signed an MoU with Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi's largest private tertiary hospital, to provide medical services to patients with financial constraints both within and outside the UAE.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, secretary general, UAE Red Crescent Authority, and Shamsheer Vayalil, managing director of Burjeel Hospital, at ceremony here Tuesday.

As part of the understanding, Burjeel Hospital will not only provide medical services to needy patients nominated by the UAE's Red Crescent Authority, but will also support the authority's programmes on disease awareness, screening and training of volunteers.

The UAE Red Crescent will identify individuals and collaborate with charitable organisations across the region to nominate patients who are in need of medical treatment.
