The Uber cab driver accused of raping a woman executive, Monday threatened to thrash mediapersons alleging bias in their reporting of the proceedings.

Shiv Kumar Yadav said this soon after Additional Sessions Judge Kaveri Baweja went inside her chamber after completing the court proceedings in the matter.

Meanwhile, defence counsel Dharmender Mishra sought more time to read the documents saying that Yadav has recently appointed him as his lawyer in the case and he has not gone through the file.

Special Public Prosecutor Atul Shrivastava opposed his plea and said that defence is trying to delay the trial in the case.

However, the court granted more time to counsel and fixed the matter for Wednesday for further hearing.

According to police, the woman executive was allegedly raped by 32-year-old Yadav inside his cab on the night of Dec 5, 2014.

The court Jan 13 framed charges of rape and causing grievous bodily harm and endangering the life of a woman, kidnapping a woman, criminal intimidation and voluntarily causing hurt against Yadav under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution last week completed recording of evidence in a court here in just 17 days.
